Laptops Galore!

Last week I was in charge of organizing and handing out over 200 laptops to the fourth and fifth grade classes at my school. I had to put all the laptops in the cases with the power adaptors, put names on cases and adaptors, assign laptops to students, hardwire and login all 203 students prior to giving out the laptops, and make sure all the laptops were on the district wifi. I also had to get all 203 parents to a mandatory meeting to go over the laptop student/parent contract for this school year. Let's just say I was very tired this weekend!

It was a ton of work but to see the joy and excitement of those fourth and fifth graders made it all worth it. All our fourth and fifth grade classes at my district will be one to one with laptops. The picture above only shows a corner of that room. Did I mention there was no AC and I live in southern Arizona!! My pores are looking great still.

Since I was at school from 6:30am - 6:00pm I got the chance to see the biggest moth ever! I was told
they only appear in the early morning and right before sunset. Lucky me! Seriously this moth was HUGE! At least 3 inches long. I'm hoping this week will be a little less hectic than last week!

You know it's hot outside when....

I've been super busy organizing giving out over 200 laptops to the fourth and fifth grade students at my school. I have to add that the air conditioning does not work in my room and the temps outside are 100-105 degrees. I have to say, my pores are looking nice lately but I'm tired of going home looking as if I worked out for 8 hours in work clothes.

On a positive note, my foot has been feeling great for all the walking and standing I've been doing the past few weeks. I still have to wear my ankle brace but I hope to go without it in about a month.

Well, the mice problem in my room has been resolved. The mousetrap caught a very chunky mouse. I haven't seen any new droppings since it was caught.

I'm SO looking forward to sleeping in on Saturday.

Currently August

I'm linking up with Farley at Oh' Boy 4th Grade. I like reading what everyone is up to each month. Here's mine..

My new room I moved into had a "mice party" this summer. The dreaded mice droppings. My must haves are: plastic storage bins with good lids, clorox wipes, and sticky notes. Why sticky notes? I had to throw all mine out since I am a major germ freak and the thought of the mice doing who knows what on my exposed sticky notes (unsealed) made me freak out! I had to trash them!
